The Shropshire agricultural manufacturing company, UK Nutrition Limited, has attained REACH registration for Manganese Sulphate importation into Europe.
The Whitchurch company, a leading manufacturer of crop nutrients, is now one of only a handful of European companies who can import and sell Manganese Sulphate within the European Community.
The REACH regulations have been introduced into the European Union by the European chemical Agency, to track the usage of chemicals in Europe.
UK Nutrition's Managing Director, Frank Worsencroft, said "We believe the registration, of what is a major raw material for our business, was vital to give our company a competitive edge in our market place and offer to that market place a very valuable nutrient for plants and crops. The registration was paramount to our business, to secure supply, for not only ourselves but also our customers.
Commercial Director, Amy Worsencroft, said "The decision to register was not taken lightly, as the registration process has cost in excess of 30,000 Euros.
